During the month of August, we collect Shoes for Orphan Souls. Buckner Shoes for Orphan Souls®, the largest humanitarian aid project of Buckner International, serves children all over the world and across the street too.
When you donate new shoes through Buckner, they will be received by one of the world’s most vulnerable children. Buckner has distributed 5 million pairs of new shoes and socks to children in over 80 countries. Your gift impacts communities just like yours too as 20% of our shoes stay in the U.S.
The Annie Armstrong Offering is taken on Easter. The Annie Armstrong Easter Offering (AAEO) is the primary way Southern Baptists fund missions in North America. One hundred percent of gifts given to AAEO go to the field to support more than 2,900 missionary families serving across the United States and Canada.
The offering for Tennessee Baptist Children's Home is taken on Mother's Day. Tennessee Baptist Children's Homes, Inc, a non-profit organization founded in 1891, is a ministry of the churches of the Tennessee Baptist Convention which provides residential care and foster care support for children, as well as family care resources in the state. The organization has locations in all three regions of Tennessee, including campuses in Millington, Brentwood, and Chattanooga.
The offering for Operation Christmas Child is collected during the Month of September; however, you can give to OCC anytime during the year. Simply designate your offering for Operation Christmas Child. The mission of Operation Christmas Child is to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way to children in need around the world. Through this project, Samaritan’s Purse partners with the local church worldwide to share the Good News of Jesus Christ and make disciples of the nations.
Each October, we have a member of the Gideons' come and tell about their work. The Gideons' primary activity, along with their wives in the Auxiliary, is "encouraging each other to do the work of the Lord, focusing on who they are before God, and strengthening the power of their personal testimony for the Lord Jesus Christ". They are most recognized for distributing copies of scripture free of charge, paid for by freewill offerings from local churches and from members themselves.
